Gardai in Westport are looking for the public’s assistance in locating a car that left the scene of a road collision in the town.
The collision occurred at 2.30am on New Year’s Day at a roundabout on Distillery Road. A pregnant woman was taken from the scene of the collision to Mayo General Hospital for observation. Gardai are looking to talk to the driver of a dark Volkswagen car about the incident and are asking for any witnesses to come forward with any information they have and contact Westport Garda Station on 098 25555.
