Last weekend’s stableford competition was sponsored by Vinny Gibbons and the men’s section was won by Mick Mellett with a score of 40pts, PJ Brett finished in second place and Noel Healy came home in third. The ladies’ competition was won by Mary Conlon with a score of 37pts, while Catherine McNulty finished second and Geraldine O’Malley came home in third place.
Ballina
The club singles competition was won by David Finnerty with a score of 43pts last weekend, John Doherty finished in second place, and Dermot Timlin came home in third. The Winter League will tee off on Sunday November 3. In the ladies club day 12 hole scramble, Frances Burke, Marie McLoughlin, and Breege Bourke were the winning team. Second place went to the trio of Siobhan Leonard, Eimear O’Halloran, and Eleanor Fitzgerald.
Ballyhaunis
The Frank Harrington Ltd sponsored competition last weekend was won by Tommy Grogan with a score of 43pts, Brian Phillips finished in second place, and Bill Maxwell came home in third spot. The ladies’ competition was won by Kung Fanning with a score of 41pts and Kay Buckley finished five points behind in second. The junior section was won by Evan Henry who scored 36pts.
Belmullet
Last Sunday’s club competition was won by Kevin Donnelly with a score of 66pts, Jason Padden finished in second place one point behind, and Gerard McDonnell finished in third place. The front nine prize was taken by Ivan Griffin, with Ronnie McDonnell taking the back nine win.
Claremorris
Willie Feeley was the winner of last weekend’s competition with a score of 34pts, Liam O’Connell finished in second place one point further back, with Austin Winston coming home in third. The ladies’ competition was won by Yvonne Oldham.
Mulranny
Gabriel Dockery took the win in the Bosh Bar and Restaurant sponsored competition with a a score of 42pts on count-back from Larry Russell after both men finished up with the same score. Thomas Gallagher came home in third place two points back.
Swinford
Last weekend’s ladies’ Turkey Shoot was won by Adrianne Ring on 20pts with Catherine Loftus finishing one point further back in second place.
