Castlebar Rotary Club with the help of Castlebar Town Council are running a unique project this Christmas whereby you can remember a loved one and donate towards worthwhile local charities.
Members of the public will be invited to write messages remembering their departed loved ones which are then hoisted onto a garland which will decorate the tree. This novel project provides a way of remembering those who have died in a simple yet poignant way.
At this time of the year it is nice to be able to take part in a community project and it is an emotional time for people who have suffered the loss of a loved one. It is also a great way of supporting your local Charities during the Christmas season.
Members of Rotary will be located beside the tree on Market square on Saturday December 20 and 21 and all are asked to support this cause.
