The Accord model of counselling has been clinically developed from more than 50 years of work with married couples. It is research based with proven effectiveness. As a national service clients are offered standards and quality. Accord has a strategic aim to provide quality accessible services in support of marriage to all people of Ireland. All services are fully confidential, delivered by professionally trained and fully accredited practitioners who demonstrate the personal qualities and competences required to carry out this very important work.
All Accord centres offer a safe, professional, and confidential service facilitating couples and individuals to explore, reflect upon, and resolve difficulties in their marriage and relationship. Accord counsellors work with people who are married, separated, single, or living together. In a non-directive manner counsellors will help the couple or individual to clarify their particular situation, express their thoughts and feelings, and help them to explore new options and agree a course of action. The counselling service is based on client needs and not on their ability to pay. To facilitate work and family commitments, they offer appointments in the evening and during the day.
