The annual Westport Festival of Music and Food has been nominated in the Best New Festival category at the 2013 European Festival Awards. The awards will take place at Eurosonic Nooderslag in Groningen, Holland on January 15 2014. Westport Festival fans can vote by logging onto http://euvoting.festivalawards.com/ up to midday on Friday November 1.
Twelve thousand music fans attended the two-day, multi-stage, family-friendly festival in Westport House, in one of Ireland’s most beautiful historic homes and parkland estates. Festival goers enjoyed a fantastic fun filled weekend of entertainment with music from over 50 international and Irish artists and mouth-watering culinary demonstrations by top chefs.
Everyone who registers to vote in the European Festival Awards is eligible for entry into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to every winning festival in Europe.
