Strong interest expected for upcoming Connacht Property Auction

The Connacht Property Auction is now taking entries for the next auction which will be held in the Clayton Hotel on November 14. The auction will offer properties for sale across Connacht and offers homeowners an excellent opportunity to sell their properties in a quick and secure manner. All properties will be marketed extensively throughout Connacht and indeed nationally to generate significant interest on the day. The company is so confident of selling the properties on the day that it does not charge entry fees or marketing costs to enter the auction.

One of the main advantages of selling through the Connacht Property Auction is that it offers two different types of auction. One is the traditional type which is mainly suitable to cash buyers, and the second is the modern method of auction which is more flexible and both cash buyers and mortgage buyers can buy through this method. Patrick Folan from the Connacht Property Auction states,”Traditional auctions are a very quick method of sale but mainly suitable where the purchaser is likely to be buying with cash. However for normal residential properties we would recommend the modern method as it opens up the auction to those buying with cash or with finance. With the modern method of auction we ensure we maximise the interest and bidding in the property and achieve fair market value as a result.”

The Connacht Property Auction is currently working in partnership with several established estate agents giving them both local and national exposure and marketing. In Galway, the company has successfully sold properties in partnership with Michael Ryder (Tuam ), Spencer Auctioneers (Oughterard ), Oliver Lynch (Galway city ), Michael Cunningham Auctioneers (Gort ), Lyons Bracken (Athenry ), Matt O Sullivan (Clifden ), Keary Auctioneers (Loughrea ), and Paddy Keane (Ballinasloe ).

These types of auctions have many benefits for both the buyer and the seller such as; a seller’s reserve which is the seller’s minimum walkaway figure; no upfront costs; guaranteeing a non-refundable deposit from the buyer to secure the sale; generating more viewings and interest from prospective buyers; achieving full market value; and determining a fixed date to sell and move.

The next public auction takes place on November 14 at the Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit, at 7pm. Registration for the auction starts at 6.30pm on the day.
