Ger Wolfe live at the Linenhall

One of Ireland’s most unique contemporary musical voices, Ger Wolfe makes a rare and welcome appearance at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Thursday October 3 at 8pm.

Cork singer-songwriter Ger Wolfe has worked hard at earning his reputation. Always pushing the boundaries of his own particular corner in the world of contemporary songwriting, since 1998 he has released six albums of original music on independent label Raggedy Records: Word and Rhyme, Ragged Ground, Heaven Paints her Holy Mantle Blue, The Velvet Earth, No Bird Sang and Fréamh: Root. He is currently working on an exciting new album, I Have Been Loved. With a singular approach to his craft, he has charmed many listeners with songs such as “The Lark of Mayfield” and “The Curra Road”, and his songs have been recorded by North Cregg, Karan Casey and Sharon Shannon, among others.
