He has thrilled audiences worldwide for over ten years with his music and singing and now internationally renowned Ragús star and Mayo native Fergal Ó’Murchú is returning to his native county for one night only to join the award winning Gráinne Mhaol show in Westport.
O’Murchú will perform at Hotel Westport tonight Friday, September 13, with the highly acclaimed Gráinne Mhaol show in the opening concert of the Festival of the Pirate Queen. Moygownagh native, O’Murchú has toured and performed to sell out audiences in America, Japan, Australia, China and all over Europe with Ragús, in a career that has seen him perform along with the Chieftains, Dolly Parton and Christy Moore.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to Westport as it is a town that appreciates its music greatly. I am also thrilled to be joining the Gráinne Mhaol show as it is now recognised nationally as one of the best traditional music stage shows in Ireland,” commented O’Murchú ahead of the special concert.
