New season of opera is coming live from the Met

World class opera returns to Castlebar direct from New York. Commencing a glittering season of live streamed opera coming direct from the stage of the world famous Metropolitan Opera in New York to the Linenhall Arts Centre on Saturday, October 5 at 5.55pm is acclaimed English director Deborah Warner’s new production of Tchaikovsky’s romantic tragedy Eugene Onegin, heralding a season of wonderful Saturday night operas running into spring 2014: Tosca (Puccini ); The Nose (Shostakovich ); Falstaff (Verdi ); Rusalka (Dvoák ); Prince Igor (Borodin ); Werther (Massenet ); La Bohème (Puccini ); Così Fan Tutte (Mozart ); and last but not least La Cenerentola (Rossini ).
