First Connemara/Clifden Antique and Art Fair this weekend

There’s something of a first taking place in Clifden this Saturday and Sunday, as the first Connemara Antique and Art Fair, hosted by Hibernian Antique Fairs, comes to the Station House Hotel on both Saturday and Sunday August 24 and 25.

With everything priced for sale, the fair will feature quality jewellery, silver, rare books prints and engravings, Georgian and Victorian furniture, contemporary china and porcelain, banknotes and coins, clocks and vintage fashion and accessories.

Organiser Robin O’Donnell said: “Hibernian Antique and Art Fairs started running Ireland’s provincial antique and art fairs 23 years ago, and over all those years they have consistently grown. The reason for this is the incredible support we receive from antique, art and vintage collectors from all over Ireland.

“This fair is all about variety and quality, and features Ireland’s top antique dealers and several members of The Irish Antique Dealers Association IADA.

“Every nook and cranny of the hotel’s banqueting suite and the theatre will be full with top quality antiques from the four corners of Ireland. We’re talking about in excess of 250,000 items, all priced for sale, and more than 25 exhibitors.

“We’re delighted to bring the fair to Clifden, and with the competitive prices and expertise on offer, there has never been a better time to buy art or antiques whether for pleasure or as an investment.”

The Connemara Antique and Art Fair takes place in the Station House Hotel on Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25 from 11am to 6pm both days. Entry is €3.50 for adults, and children go free.
