Looking for a challenge? Try the Croí charity 5k

The team in Motivation Weight Management, Westport, are looking for you to support the 5K charity fun run in aid of Croí. Motivation Weight Management is the main sponsor of the first 5k Westport Fun Run in aid of the heart and stroke charity.

Organised by the local clinic team, this is a great opportunity to run, jog, stride, or simply walk in aid of an excellent cause. As the name implies, the focus of the day is very much on enjoyment and participation, so get your running shoes on and keep your diary free for Saturday August 10 if you would like to take part.

Croí is a registered heart and stroke charity committed to reducing the impact of cardiovascular disease on families in the west of Ireland. The charity is totally funded from voluntary contributions, public support, and fundraising events such as the Westport Fun Run, so by taking part you will be helping a very good cause.

Commencing at 12 noon tomorrow Saturday 10, the run starts at the Skateboard Park, goes past the Quay School, over the Ardmore Road on to the West Road, in the West Road as far as the Skateboard Park, and finally finishes at the Quay School. It is a gentle, relatively flat, route and refreshments will be available afterwards at the Quay School.

Registration takes place at the Quay School from 9.15am to 11.15am on the day of the race. Entry is €10 for individuals and €5 for children under 16 years. For more details, or to register in advance drop in to the Motivation Weight Management clinic in Castlebar or visit: www.croi.ie

Please support this worthy cause. All are welcome.
