Charity BBQ in aid of MS was a great success

The twelfth annual Gala Barbecue in aid of Multiple Sclerosis was recently hosted by Norah and Gerry Walshe in the gardens of Hotel Westport.

The event was a huge success and it proved to be a most memorable and enjoyable day where people enjoyed great food and great company. The food was prepared and presented by the award winning chefs and staff of Hotel Westport.

On the day much needed funds were raised for the Multiple Sclerosis Society to help people who suffer from MS, and their families. The society provides counselling, information and community based support to some 8,000 people with MS and approximately 10,000 others who share their lives.

Norah and Gerry would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who attended the gala event. A special thanks goes to those who could not attend but contributed very generously. They would also like to thank the generous sponsors who also helped enormously towards the smooth and successful running of the day. Finally, Norah and Gerry would like to thank the owners, management and staff of Hotel Westport for their support of the event and for making it so worthwhile.

MS Ireland commented that they are “extremely grateful for the level of support and ongoing fundraising by Norah and Gerry Walshe and Hotel Westport over the years. MS Ireland would be unable to provide their services without the help of such dedicated supporters.”
