A lucky couple from Mayo collected a cheque for €350,000 from the National Lottery last week. The delighted couple, who wish to remain private, won their prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw on May 18.
Speaking of how they will spend their winnings, they said, “We don’t have any huge plans yet, but we would like to pay a few bills, maybe go on holidays or possibly purchase a new car.”
The lucky couple bought their ticket, a €4 Quick Pick in Headlines Newsagents, Corrib Shopping centre, Galway. The delighted man said, “I won’t be leaving it as long as I did to check my tickets next time!
“We only checked our tickets the other day and still can’t believe we have won!” said the woman. “After we found out, we initially thought the €350,000 would be shared between us and the other top prize winner, we are so thrilled to have won.”
