The Ultimate Funky Hair Show in the Failte Suite at the Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar, on Saturday July 13 which was organised by Kay’s Hairdressing Salon, Castlebar, was a tremendous success. A full attendance really enjoyed watching more than 30 models showcase up to the minute hair styles and colours, while local outlets Don Racine, UFO, and Brant Rock presented the latest fashions for every occasion. Shoes were provided by Parsons and beauty by Mulroy’s Beauty Salon.
All proceeds from the event went to Western Care Association's local service at Lower Lakelands, Manulla. The association is extremely grateful to Ann-Marie Gavin, Helena Parsons, and everyone involved in organising the hair and fashion show; all the models and staff of Kay's Hair Salon and the various outlets involved; Ann McHugh and Joe O'Dea from the Welcome Inn; and compere, Angelina Nugent, sports editor with Mid-West Radio, who did such a tremendous job on the night.
