A man who faces a charge of sending a grossly offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message by phone to a member of An Garda Siochana was before Ballina District Court this week.
Oisin Durcan, 171 Greenhills Estate, Ballina has been charged with sending the text from his address on April 9 2012.
Durcan told the court that he was representing himself, however Judge Mary Devins gave him time to seek legal advice.
The judge adjourned the case to September 10 for mention.
