Five Mayo based companies exported goods to the value of €709 million in the past year landing them a place on the Top 250 Exporters in Ireland and Northern Ireland list.
The 2013 edition was launched by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA ), in association with Investec, a leading specialist bank and wealth and investment manager.
The Mayo companies exported goods across the life sciences, ICT, and food and drink sector.
The companies are Storit Ltd, placed at 155 on the list and accounted for €113m worth of exports. Baxter Healthcare, listed in 97th place, exported €260 million worth of goods. Volex Europe Ltd, which is 213 on the list, had €53m exports last year. Liberty Medical Services Ltd, 108th on the list, enjoyed €215m exports; while Western Brand, 198th on the list, had €68m of exports last year.
