Well known local historian, author and former Western People editor Terry Reilly will be in attendance at the Jackie Clarke Collection on Pearse Street, Ballina next Tuesday, July 23 for the latest sitting of the collection’s book club.
This novel book club focusses on reading publications from the Jackie Clarke Collection which are mostly non-fiction.
The chosen book this month is Mr Reilly’s own publication Dear Old Ballina. Published in 1993, Dear Old Ballina, is the third of six books written by Mr Reilly.
Featuring a foreword by President Mary Robinson, it contains over 470 pages on the history of the town in all of its facets and features wonderful photography.
The reading will take place in the Jackie Clarke Collection (former Provincial Bank ), Pearse Street, on Tuesday, July 23 at 8pm.
The evening will start with an introduction by the author to the book and everyone is most welcome to attend what promises to be a special event.
