A 20-year-old man who collided into a car on the wrong side of the road was convicted for careless driving at this week’s sitting of Ballina District Court.
On July 17 2012 at Rathmeel, Creggs Road, Ballina at 3.15pm Edward Mullaney, Carrowhubbock North, Enniscrone Co Sligo turned off the main road onto a minor road and veered across the narrow road into the car of a woman who was driving with her daughter.
The damage to the cars was minor as the speeds were low and there were no injuries.
Mullaney, who has no previous convictions, was convicted and fined €150 by Judge Mary Devins.
