The Team TT is a new discipline to the Mayo Cycling League and it proved very popular with 8 teams pulling themselves together to do battle.
Little did they know that the biggest battle would be amongst themselves as team time trialing is one of the most technical difficult discipline in road cycling which takes months of practice and team uniformity to master, when practised right it looks fast, simple and easy but without good team communication it can turn a well drilled machine into a very shabby splutter outfit.
The last round of the Mayo cycling League for 2013 will be held in Tourmakeady up Lally’s mountain on Tuesday July 30 where each rider has to battle up the 5k climb at an average of 8 per cent. The Mayo cycling championships will be held in Westport next Wednesday next July 17.
