Gardaí in Castlebar are investigating the suspicious death of two brothers in their late sixties.
The bodies of the two men were found at a house on New Antrim Street, Castlebar at approximately 7am this morning (Wednesday ).
It is believed that they were murdered during a robbery that went wrong. Sources say that one body was found inside the house and another outside.
There was blood found at the scene which has been preserved for a technical examination. A garda spokesperson said: “The services of the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been requested.”
