JCI is looking for Ireland’s most friendly businesses

Ireland is famous all over the world for its one hundred thousand welcomes and now JCI Mayo is on the hunt for Mayo’s friendliest business. This is the third year of JCI Mayo and the Mayo Advertiser partnership in the search to find Mayo’s friendliest businesses.

Do you know a business that makes you smile every time you use its service? If you do, don’t keep it a secret, nominate it as a JCI friendly business. We all need to start shouting about our friendly businesses.

JCI Mayo and the Mayo Advertiser recognise the important role that local industry plays in the continuous development and improvement of our country. The project aims to award friendly businesses, which go that extra mile and provide an outstanding customer service for their clients and their community. It is particularly important in this economic environment to highlight businesses that don't allow their standards to slip and continue to provide quality services.

Deborah McAndrew, president of JCI Mayo, explains: “In the current economic environment it is more important than ever for businesses to be able to set themselves apart from their competitors. These businesses who go that little bit further will survive and thrive when the economy picks up.”

The friendliest business is judged on the following criteria: Customer care, eco-friendliness, shop layout and design, disability access, and digital experience. These five categories are key contributors to making up a business that has the customer at the centre of its business.

The closing date for the competition is August 10. More information about the project can be found on www.jcimayo.ie To nominate a business contact your local JCI branch or email [email protected] with the details of the business and why you think it should be crowned as JCI Mayo’s Friendly Business for 2013.
