A 29-year-old woman was disqualified from driving for six years at Ballina District Court on Tuesday after she pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Gardaí stopped Tara Moyles, 52 Lord Edward Street, Ballina, driving at 4.30am on August 27 2012 at Greenhills, Ballina. She was arrested for drink driving and a blood sample provided showed 235mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
The defendant, who has one previous drink driving conviction, had at the time been going through a rough patch following the death of her grandmother.
Judge Denis McLoughlin convicted and fined her €350 and disqualified her from driving for six years.
