Ballina District Court heard this week that a man in his fifties broke the bedroom window of his parents’ rented house after a night out.
On September 3 2012, Alfie Padden, 26 The Glebe, Church Road, Ballina, left a pub in Ballina after 2am and went to his parents rented house at Moy Court, Ballina, where he threw a number of stones. One of the stones broke the upstairs bedroom window.
Padden (52 ) was co-operative with gardaí and his solicitor Michael Bohan had €80 in court for the damage caused to the property.
Mr Bohan said that the defendant has a troubled history with his family and said that Padden had not been in contact with his family since the incident. Padden, a father of two, has no previous convictions.
Judge Denis McLoughlin said that the facts were proven and he struck the case out.
