The body of a man was discovered on lands in the Ballinrobe area on Tuesday afternoon.
The discovery was made while silage was being cut on lands in the Kilkeerin area of Ballinrobe.
The body was removed to Mayo General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
At the time of going to print gardaí did not have any details as regards the identification of the man.
