Belcarra Community Council has set aside the week of Friday August 23 to August 30 to celebrate The Gathering.
The week will open with Mass in St Ann's Church followed by refreshments in the community centre. Also taking place that evening is the Apostolic workers’ display who are celebrating their golden jubilee this year. There is a variety of events planned for the week including a 50k cycle and sports day on Sunday August 25, ceilí, dance, and music in the pubs, various games in the sports centre, walks, barbecues, and much more.
There will be an itinerary of events available at a later date. The people of the area are asked to invite their friends and relatives from home and abroad to enjoy the celebrations. It will be an opportunity to meet old friends and reminisce days gone by.
