The Corrib gas partners have announced details of the successful applicants to their June 2008 round of funding under their Local Grants Programme. A total of 24 groups have been awarded grant aid ranging from €1,000 to €10,000.
The Local Grants Programme is open to all community groups, clubs and voluntary sector organisations within the Erris region, which have projects that meet the criteria of being local, inclusive and sustainable.
Forty-seven different groups applied for funding in June and the standard of applications was extremely high. This brings to 82 the total number of groups awarded funding under the Corrib gas partners’ Local Grants Programme in 2008. Altogether 127 applications were received during 2008.
