Croí Tour de Lough Corrib Cycle

Local heart and stroke charity Croí is once again inviting cyclists to participate in its Annual Tour de Lough Corrib Sportive on Sunday June 2.

The event, which is now in its 18th year, has become the largest charity cycle in the west of Ireland which since its inception, has been supported by local company, Corrib Oil. For the second year in a row, the cycle will be led out by cycling legend, Sean Kelly. All participants are invited to a pre-cycle open evening with Sean Kelly at the Croí Heart and Stroke Centre in Galway on Saturday June 1 at 6pm.

The cycle still starts from the sports pavilion in Dangan and will take the route via Headford, Cong, Maam Valley, Oughterard, back to Galway, finishing in the new Croí Heart and Stroke Centre. The cycle is fully supported by a road crew of volunteers and Civil Defence. Refreshments are provided en route with stops in Headford, Cong, Maam and Oughterard.
