Cycle with Sean Kelly

Now in its 18th year, the Croí Tour de Lough Corrib cycle takes place on Bank Holiday Sunday June 2.

This event is organised by heart and stroke charity Croí and is the single biggest fundraiser for the charity each year. Croí works with families and individuals affected by heart disease and stroke. Corrib Oil is the main sponsor for this event and all proceeds go directly to the charity.

The cycle takes place around Lough Corrib in Connemara, with breath-taking scenery along the route. There are two options of a 27.5 mile route and a 75 mile route. Entry to this event is free but people are asked to raise funds to support the work of Croí. Last year this event raised more than €50,000 and this year the charity hopes to exceed this.

All registered cyclists are invited to a free open evening with Sean Kelly in Croí House, Galway, on Saturday June 1 at 6pm. Sean will give a Q&A session and will have some of his racing memorabilia on display.
