There were celebrations recently at Westport College of Further Education after students repeated their success at the All Ireland Hairdressing Schools Championships in St John’s College, Cork.
Three of the level 6 students won the entire fantasy category for the second year with amazing hats and creations made from hair.
In first place was Colette Keane, second place Brigid Malone Skolemestre, and third place Lorraine Conway. Eight students including Shona Geraghty, Kate Piskorek, Debbie Costello, Anne Kelly, and Daena Kelly competed on the day. Colette Keane also won first place in the gents’ colour and cut category.
