The county council has disposed of the Kilmeena Community Building to the local community council in a 99 year lease.
Cllr John O’Malley said that he had been very involved with this and welcomed the disposal.
Also proposed at the meeting was the disposal of the former Newport Council Offices, which have been disposed of for €100,000, which is in line with current market achievements.
