Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie presenter and Kilfian native Edel Golden has just returned from a trip of a lifetime to the White House in Washington DC where she filmed for one week for Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie The trip coincided with the visit of An Taoiseach Enda Kenny to New York and Washington.
Commenting on the filming excursion Ms Golden stated it was a dream come true. “Personally it was an amazing experience for me as a journalist to be present at the White House and filming in the iconic Oval Office with An Taoiseach Enda Kenny and US President Barack Obama.
“Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie are always pushing out the boundaries of broadcasting and this trip to the USA certainly opened up a whole new audience for our programming. We are always trying to reach out to the Irish Diaspora at home and abroad and it was great to meet so many people that are really enjoying our programming,” commented Ms Golden this week. Mayotv.ie and Irishtv.ie captured the magical atmosphere at the New York St Patrick's Day parade, filmed at Times Square and in Downtown Manhattan in New York, before heading to the White House and Oval Office.
