Tri Lakes Triathlon Club has launched its annual race The Quiet Man Triathlon which takes place on Sunday, May 12 in Cong, Co Mayo. This race consists of a 750 metre swim in Lough Corrib, following by a 20km out and back cycle and a 5 km trial run in Cong Woods.
The race is set at the picturesque Lisloughrey Lodge, where the 5km trial run will finish. Refreshments will be provided after the race in Lisloughrey Lodge overlooking the bay. The Quiet Man Triathlon is suitable for athletes of all levels from complete beginner to experienced triathlete. This was a very popular race last year and it is expected to sell out this year.
