If you’re looking for the very best in new Irish theatre, look no further than actor Pat Kinevane, who delivers two unforgettable theatrical performances at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar next week. On Wednesday, April 10 he will perform Forgotten at 8pm and the following evening, Thursday, April 11 he will put on a performance of Silent also starting at 8pm.
In Forgotten, you will meet a host of vivid characters brought to life with exhilarating theatricality and haunting honesty. In the play, Flor wants to bath himself; Dora wants her chowder now; Gustus wants his house back; Eucharia wants to make an announcement. Forgotten brings to life these sometimes forgotten voices of society in Pat Kinevane’s captivating performance, acclaimed by critics everywhere.
In the brave, bold and beautiful Silent you will meet the homeless McGoldrig, a man who once has lost everything. He now dives into the wonderful wounds of his past through the romantic world of Rudolph Valentino. Silent has been wowing audiences on an extensive tour both nationally and internationally in Europe and the USA, and was winner of the Fringe First and Herald Angel Awards at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011, and Argus Angel at Brighton Festival 2012.
Both plays are written and performed by Pat Kinevane and are directed by Jim Culleton. These two plays seethe with energy and passion, and are presented by Fishamble, a multi-award winning Irish company dedicated to the discovery, development and production of new work for the theatre.
