Castlebar Chamber will host a speed networking event on Thursday April 18 in the Welcome Inn Hotel.
The event will commence at 7.30pm with a presentation on effective networking by Sandra Hart, BNI director of European affairs.
Ms Hart is a business networking expert. She helps local businesses to grow through a proven referral marketing strategy. She trains business professionals and speaks extensively on the subjects of networking and word of mouth marketing.
Together with her husband Andy and a large team she runs BNI in 19 counties of Ireland in addition to being the director of European affairs.
Following Ms Hart’s presentation attendees will then have 10 minutes to perfect their pitch before the main event, which should last for an hour to an hour and a half.
The event will take the style of speed dating without the dating with networkers being afforded three minutes with each participant, ensuring the opportunity for plenty of selling and an hour of high octane networking.
These events tend to be a fun, exciting, and effective way to make a lot of initial connections in a very different environment from the standard business networking meetings.
This event is free of charge to Castlebar Chamber members and for €5 to non members.
Speed networking affords an opportunity to develop new business relationships, be it securing new clients, meeting a potential strategic business partner, or tapping into a new audience.
Materials which will help you maximise your networking on the night include business cards and any promotional material you wish to distribute.
It is open to start-ups and established businesses which are looking for novel ways in which to grow their companies.
Registration takes place at 7.30pm and the speed networking is expected to finish at 9.30pm.
