Book of evidence served for Claremorris burglary

A Castlebar man was served with the book of evidence for an alleged burglary and criminal damage offence in Claremorris last year. Sgt Regina Curly gave evidence of serving the book to Mark Maughan, 25 Viewpoint, Castlebar before Tuesday morning’s sitting of the court.

Maughan was sent forward for trial at the next sitting of Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court. The charges against Maughan are for an alleged burglary at The Cúam Family Centre on Dalton Street in Claremorris on July 3 2012 and criminal damage to St Colman’s Church in Claremorris on the same day. Maughan was remanded on his own bail to appear before the circuit court on May 7 2013.
