Aspiring Mayo singers have the chance to showcase their vocal talents by entering the brand new Le Crunch Apple of My Eye song contest, hosted by Today FM.
Super healthy apple brand Le Crunch has teamed up with The KC Show on Today FM to launch a nationwide search for Ireland’s next best undiscovered singer.
The Le Crunch Apple of My Eye song contest is open to all across the country who fancy themselves as being able to hit all the right notes with their choice of tune.
Le Crunch is looking for contestants to choose a song which reminds them of someone or something dear to their heart, in other words a song that represents the apple of their own eye. They then simply sing it with all their talent, record it, and send it in to be in with a chance to win part of a €10,000 prize fund.
Today FM’s KC will air some of the best songs on his show during the competition. The panel of expert judges, which includes homegrown acts such as Royseven frontman Paul Walsh and the hugely talented Roisin O, will select Ireland’s best singers who will go on to perform live at the national final, which will be broadcast live on The KC Show from Dublin venue The Sugar Club.
The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite singer by logging on to the website www.ouitolecrunch.com to decide who they think should go on to perform at the national final, where the overall winner will be selected by the judges and presented with €8,000 cash.
So don’t be pipped at the post, the competition opens for submissions on Monday, February 18, with a closing deadline three weeks later on Friday, March 8.
