The elected members of Ballina Town Council adjourned their annual budget meeting this week. The members agreed to meet again at 6pm before their annual monthly meeting which is due to take place next Wednesday, January 23.
At this week’s budget meeting the members listened to a detailed presentation by acting town manager Paul Benson on the €6.9 million budget for the coming year. However despite the acting town manager answering a number of questions from the elected members over the course of a two and half hour presentation, the members agreed to adjourn the meeting until next week without putting any proposals for cuts or increases in the budget to the town council management.
