Mayo woman scoops top national ISS award for Aras Attracta

Last month ISS Facility Services hosted the annual GEM Go the Extra Mile awards presented by former Miss Universe Ireland, Roz Purcell, and Eric Doyle, managing director ISS Facility Services. Top honours this year went to Marie McNicholas from Swinford for her work at Aras Attracta, Mayo as she scooped the overall ISS supervisor of the year.

ISS Facility Services is the world’s fourth largest private sector employer with over 540,000 employees and over 100,000 business clients worldwide. ISS is Ireland’s fastest growing and only fully-integrated facilities services company providing 3,500 jobs in Ireland with a turnover is excess of €75 million.

ISS employees are the “unsung” and often unseen heroes that regularly work through the night to maintain standards of excellence. In more extreme cases, ISS employees are the first point of contact for emergencies such as storm damage, floods, snow and ice. ISS plays an essential role in the support network required for many memorable national events. They were the ‘people behind the people’ when President Obama visited Ireland and played an important supporting role in the seamless and highly commendable operation around the Queen’s historic visit.

Eric Doyle, ISS managing director, said: “We take enormous pride in the work that we carry out. I am delighted to be in a position to recognise the excellence and outstanding achievements of individuals in our business and pay tribute to the hard work, dedication and commitment from our teams all over the country. We have a strong business in Ireland and with our unique capability to provide a full range of facility services to our customers, look forward to developing and growing our business further in 2013.”
