Funding of €76,000 has been approved for resurfacing and hardening works in Claremorris, from St Coleman’s College towards Claremorris town.
This money has been made available from the Claremorris Local Roads Restoration Improvements Scheme 2013 according to local independent councillor Richard Finn.
Cllr Finn has confirmed that funding is now being sought under the Smarter Travel scheme for cycle lanes on the road linking St Coleman’s College with the town.
“We are hoping these works will be completed in summer of 2013,” Cllr Finn said.
