The Aramark Healthcare team at Mayo General Hospital received the Safety Sense Award 2012 at the annual Aramark Employee Awards ceremony, held recently in Dublin.
The Aramark Employee Awards recognise employee contributions across a number of disciplines and all 4,000 Aramark employees are eligible for recognition. The Safety Sense Award is designed to recognise an individual or team that champions safety and takes action to improve safety standards in their workplace.
The Mayo General Hospital team received the award for their specific focus on safety, continually providing a safe environment with a 100 per cent reduction score on lost time incidents year on year and on average up to 50 per cent reduction in on site incidents.
Speaking at the awards, Donal O’Brien, CEO, Aramark Ireland, said: “Our employees demonstrate a work ethic that is unparalleled, they regularly go the extra mile to ensure that the needs of our clients are exceeded. The Aramark Healthcare team at Mayo General Hospital are committed to safety throughout the hospital and we are delighted to honour them with this award.”
