Mayo Fine Gael TD, John O'Mahony, has congratulated the management committee and members of the Ballinrobe Racecourse on winning the inaugural Racecourse of the Year award at the annual Horse Racing Awards.
“This is a momentous achievement and one that was richly deserved. Ballinrobe Racecourse offers the visitor a unique experience and this awards is testament to that. When you think of the iconic racecourses that Ballinrobe beat to win this award, it really does put it into context.”
The Deputy concluded: “The entire town of Ballinrobe and the surrounding region benefit from the race meetings held there and the whole area will see the benefits of this award in the future. I would like to commend everyone involved and associated with the racecourse and wish them well for the future.”
