Let it Roll exhibition at the Linenhall

Currently on show in the foyer of the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar is Let It Roll, an exhibition created by Western Care service users and GMIT Castlebar fine art students under the guidance of the Linenhall Arts Centre community arts team.

This innovative and celebratory exhibition, which marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2012, features work in a variety of media including glass, felt, and paint. The group of 10 Western Care service users and GMIT students was facilitated by the Linenhall's Community Arts Team comprising Breda Burns, Jodi Coyne, Marian McHale, and Patricia Halligan, who helped guide and assist the participants in reaching their individual artistic goals, and in working together to create a cohesive visual art show. Let it Roll has been made possible by funding from Mayo County Council and will remain on show at the Linenhall until Saturday January 5. After that it will tour to Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet, and Custom House Studios, Westport.
