Car wash owner convicted for drink driving

A man was disqualified from driving at Tuesday’s sitting of Ballina District Court.

Gardaí observed Peter Husak, Cashel, Foxford, drive erratically on Dillon Terrace, Ballina, on January 28 2012. Husak crossed the centre line and was stopped. He failed a roadside breath test and at Ballina Garda Station he provided a urine sample which showed 150mg of alcohol per 100ml of urine.

The defendant who has no previous drink driving convictions owns his own car wash business.

Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined him €500 and disqualified him from driving for two years.
