Award winning country singer James Kilbane will be one of the artist taking part in the Celebration of Faith in Song and Music at The Church of the Assumption, Dookinella, Achill, on Thursday November 29 at 8pm.
The event will be led by Fr Tom Kearney SMA and the evening will include traditional pieces by renowned musician Diarmuid Geilty and friends, and a presentation by James Kilbane and his popular country gospel music.
The evening will also help the fundraising efforts for local Achill youth who hope to earn the John Paul II Award and will travel to Lourdes to help work with the sick there.
All are very welcome from the parish and further afield to attend this faith event. A donation of €10 is suggested and donation offerings for the event are also available across the island from Dooagh PO, Achill Sound PO, Catherine McHugh’s Achill Sound.
