Moy men’s health evening

Moy Sports Forum is hosting a men’s health evening in Ballina Rugby Club on Thursday November 29 from 6pm to 9pm.

On the evening free health screening will be carried out by Ailish Houlihan from Croí, Liam Moffat from Mayo Sport Clinic will be available to carry out fitness assessments, and a nutritionist will be in attendance to offer advice on healthy eating.

The evening also encompasses the finals of the MSF men’s winter soccer league.

The Moy Sports Forum was formed in November 2010 to provide inclusive, safe, fun sporting recreational opportunities and programmes for all people in the Ballina area with a particular focus on reaching communities that are marginalised as well as increasing usage of Ballina Town Council outdoor facilities.

The forum is made up of representatives from Mayo Sports Partnership, Mayo North East, Ballina Town Council, MTSG, Involve, FAI, Sean Duffy Centre, Moy Valley Resources, resident representatives, and others.

The forum aims to encourage all people to become physically active, improving health, fitness, and quality of living through organised community events that include the dissemination of health information to support informed healthy lifestyle changes.
