The Mayo Association Dublin Mayo Person of the Year and Meitheal awards 2013 are now accepting nominations.
The Mayo Person of the Year award has been awarded to a host of well-known Mayo people over the years who have made an exceptional contribution to Mayo and its people.
The current Mayo Person of the Year is An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
The Meitheal of the Year award is presented to a voluntary group organisation based in Mayo who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, has achieved great distinction or done most for the county, community and its people. The winners of the Meitheal Award in 2012 were the landowners of The Greenway.
Nominations should be submitted by post in triplicate to Pat Downes, 39 St Gabriels, Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
Deadline for submissions for both the Meithal and Person of the Year awards is Friday, December 14.
The awards will be presented at the annual Mayo Association Dublin dinner dance being held on February 2 2013 in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin. Tickets are now available to be prebooked through members of the committee, or through Pat Downes, Hon Secretary at [email protected]
