Cllr Harry Barrett has written to the town manager to provide a public path for the families living along the Curradrish Road, Castlebar. Barrett is fearful of an accident as people are forced to walk on the road to access the town path system. Barrett states, "I am calling yet again for this stretch of path to be provided for the families living along the Curradrish Road. The families living on this road are in the urban area and are as entitled to a path as any other community living in town. I will put this issue as a notice of motion for the next meeting of the council and I expect it to be supported. In the meantime, I will ask that a temporary verge dressing be applied, that the scrub is taken away, and that a temporary surface dressing is applied to allow a safer walkway for people.”
