Mayo Centres for the Unemployed, with offices in Tucker Street, Castlebar, and Teeling Street, Ballina, recently launched their new website — www.mayocentrefortheunemployed.com According to the latest CSO figures from September 2012 there are 12,511 people on the live register in Mayo — 3,168 in Ballina and 2,373 in the Castlebar area.
The centres currently offer a free and confidential advice service for the community in general with specific focus on those who are unemployed, but all clients are welcome. The website was launched to complement the existing drop in service they operate.
The website contains information on interview preparation, CV templates and CV tips, salary information, and local vacancies.
