After John Byrne's international success in the World Trophy 50k in Italy recently, three of Mayo AC's top women athletes have been selected on the Irish team to compete in the 25th Annual British and Irish Masters International Cross Country in Belfast on November 10.
Castlebar based Colette Tuohy and Angela O'Connor run in the W40, W45 teams, while Newport's Pauline Moran takes part in the W55 category. They were selected following the Gerry Farnan trial races in the Phoenix Park. All three have been medal winners in National Championship events this year. Mayo AC has an excellent record of participation in this competition over the years and is confident that the three representatives this year will do the club proud.
