Campus.ie, Ireland's premier source for all things college, is partnering with the Irish Independent to bring journalism students and writers the most exciting competition of the year.
This year, the three most popular contributors for Campus.ie will be awarded six-month internships with the Irish Independent.
Also, the most popular article each week on Campus.ie will be published as The Weekly Read on Independent.ie
Editor of Campus.ie, Liam Keegan, says this competition is likely to grab the attention of every student writer in the nation.
“Considering the challenges students face in finding work experience in the current economic conditions, this is truly a unique opportunity for students and graduates to gain real experience in arguably the most important newsroom in Ireland,” said Mr Keegan.
Aspiring journalists and writers will be contributing to Ireland’s biggest student website, with the aim of getting published, and potentially working for Ireland's best-selling newspaper.
To be eligible for the internship competition, contributors must submit at least one article per week during the college semesters of 2012/2013 from the week they begin contributing.
